Sci-Fi Book Idea4/24/2021 Here's a free idea for someone wanting to write a Sci-Fi book and subsequent movie: Combine Total Recall with The Masters Tournament.
Remember in Total Recall that a customer could go into the Cyber Travel Agency and have a brain implant that gave them a memory of a vacation? How about getting an implant that lets you think you won the Masters Tournament this year? How much would guys pay for that implant?

Prince Phillip4/19/2021 I'm not big on the whole concept of Royalty. The Declaration of Independence is more in line with my philosophy of life; you know, the whole Everyone is Created Equal part? But my wife did convince me to watch The Crown. The series was very well done, and my favorite character was Prince Phillip, who got deliver the wise guy jokes, including the best line in the series:
Queen (getting off the phone): Princess Margaret is experiencing a crisis! Prince Phillip: Oh, is she running short of tonic? Who knows how accurate the show was, but I hope he said that in real life.

Horse of Your Foot4/18/2021 Did you ever have a horse step on your foot? I really hurts. I'm told that horse's have almost 360 degree eyesight, so when they kick you or step on your foot, it's on purpose. Even if they act innocent--Who Me? Actual photo of horse looking innocent

Nobody Wants to Read Your S*&@4/7/2021 In a quest to become a better writer, I've read many books about writing. If you're going to read just one, I recommend: Nobody Wants to Read Your Sh*t (asterisk his), Steven Pressfield.
If you don't aspire to write a book, Pressfield contends that you should follow his principles even if it's just to give a talk to the Local Garden Club. His work is very entertaining, and succinctly sums up many of the more serious tones on this subject

Monkeys with Typewriters4/3/2021 Remember when people used to speculate that if you put 1,000 moneys in a room with typewriters that they would eventually write Hamlet?
There's a modern version of that: AI, Artificial Intelligence is writing novels. Just get the formula and insert different characters and nouns and verbs and the computer spits out a novel. It reminds me of the old game: Mad Libs, were you would call out a verb, an adjective, a noun, and the moderator of the game would fill in the blanks with usually a silly result. It was fun. Some people in the publishing business are promoting AI written novels. I hope they fail. Give me the room full of monkeys.

We'll Know the Pandemic is Over4/1/2021 We'll know the Pandemic is over when the video of vaccine bottles on the conveyor is not included in the Nightly News. I'm really tired of seeing the boletes of vaccine shaking their way down the belt.
