Redhead with Green Eyes

I've been reading and listening to thrillers and mysteries for inspiration. In my real life experience most people have brown eyes, then followed by blue-eyed people. But in thrillers an inordinate percentage of people have green or grey eyes. Especially featured are redheaded femme fatales with green eyes. A lot of morally challenged guys in mysteries have grey eyes.
I can't remember the last time I saw a person with green or grey eyes. Maybe I should hang around with more dangerous people.
