Redneck Double Header

I had a Redneck Double Header today--got to work with my tractor--AND my chainsaw!

My tractor is a little newer than this one-My property is full of a plant called Russian Olive, which was planted in this part of Connecticut in the 1930s by the Civil Conservation Corps as a way to fight erosion. It worked. Russian Olive is not native to this region, and it flourishes to this day without natural enemies, so the plant is very invasive. It's also ugly. I've been trying to get rid of it on my property for 20 years. You can cut it back--and it laughs at you! The only way to get rid of it is to dig it up--that's what I was doing today
